I originally created the PointPool for 1983 football season in North Brunswick, N.J. It was an immediate hit as a new, unique and fun pro football pool. It grew rapidly but was always limited by the simple logistics of operating the pool.

Finally, after nearly 25 years of fine tuning and listening to the rave reviews from players, I’ve finally decided to make the leap and roll out the pool to the nationwide audience for the 2007 season. I am very excited to get this project out into the web world. The best part is that the web site will do all the work except invite people to sign up.

The PointPool is a great "water-cooler" pool – the kind of pool that has participants talking about the games and the strategies, the winners and the losers, week after week throughout the pro football season. As such, one of my goals is to facilitate that great "community" aspect of the pool. To accomplish that, we will be making additions to the web site throughout the first year by adding chat rooms, message boards, trash talk forums and more as the season progresses. Stay tuned for these get additions to the site.

We are happy to work with any organization that would like to run their own pool. If you are a sports bar owner or patron, a college frat (current and/or alums), a booster club, a business office or just a group of football fans who want to play a fun, challenging, exciting and totally new football pool, we want to hear from you. We would love to get you set up and let you try the PointPool for yourselves. It is, quite simply, a great football pool and I am very, very confident that once you’ve tried it, you’ll be enjoying it year after year.
